Frequently Asked Questions
What is an EMF Detector?
This is a device that can detect electromagnetic fields. It is believed that a ghost creates these fields when trying to manifest itself. Electromagnetic fields occur in every electronic appliance and are all over houses since every house has a multitude of electronics and wiring.
What is an EVP?
EVP Stands for Electronic Voice Phenomenon. EVP's are voices or other similar sounds caught on audio recorders that weren't present when the recording was made.
Will you use a Medium or Psychic?
We limit the use of mediums in our investigations due to the fact we are interested in only documented scientific data. There are cases that a medium is used, but only after the initial reasearch is complete.
Why do you investigate at night?
We do believe that if a location is active it is that way 24 hours a day. But we prefer to work at night so the equipment has less interference and it also minimizes outside noise that may interfere with recording devices.
What kinds of cases will SCPI investigate?
We attempt to investigate all cases of paranormal activity limited to ghosts, hauntings, and related phenomena. However, certain cases will take precedence over others.
What locations are good for locating activity?
Active locations can be: private residence, businesses, mansions, prisions, schools, hospitals, cemeteries and any place mared with tragedy, and sometimes historical importance.
Will you speak at our event? Do you do Media Events?

May I come along on an investigation to see if I like it?
No, because of liability and confidentiality issues for both the client and SCPI. We do not allow any untrained persons on investigations. There are tour companies you can try.
